The weekend before Christmas, the GJGs went for a quick getaway down south. We were invited by Seda Nuvali for a weekend staycation to welcome the holidays. Seda Nuvali Lifestyle Hotel opened March of 2014. It’s the fourth hotel in the country bearing the name of Seda, a brand established by ALI subsidiary AyalaLang Hotels and Resort Corp. (AHRC). Seda Nuval is the first lifestyle hotel in the booming center of Laguna that offers lakeside amenities and many other green features. It’s the perfect mix of nature and man-made so we were pretty excited to know what’s in store when one checks in at Seda Nuvali.
My lil’ GJGs couldn’t hide their excitement the moment we arrived at Seda Nuvali.
The 150-room hotel with gardens that open up to a scenic four-hectare lake is the new showcase of the close to 2,3000-hectare Nuvali growth centre which spans the municipalities of Sta. Rosa, Calamna and Cabuyao, all in Laguna. Its founders have designed it to allow both people and nature to thrive harmoniously even after full build up.
Floor to ceiling glass walls make Seda Nuvali’s modern design compliment its natural surroundings.
iMac computers in the lobby for the guests to use.
This lil’ girl loves doing staycations. During our stay she even quipped “I love staying at hotels! I love swimming!”.

It was quite a gloomy day but still, it was just as beautiful. The view from Seda overlooks the lake. It was such a refreshing sight.
One of the things or probably the only thing my kids are particular with when we do staycations is the swimming pool. Seda Nuvali’s got a thumbs up from the lil’ GJGs.
The Playroom where kids can play, get rowdy and watch their favorite movies.
The Game Room where kids and kids at heart can battle it out on Wii and Xbox.
Surf the net or play online games.
The Fitness Center is located on the second floor.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to use the gym for I wasn’t feeling well during our staycation. Perhaps on our next stay I can.
The Spa is located inside the Fitness Center.
You can also call in for a room-in message should you opt to.
The second floor is also where the function rooms and E-lounge/business centre are located.
The second floor’s common area/ mezzanine.
One of Seda Nuvali’s function room that can house 100 persons.
The room can also be divided in half should you need a venue for a smaller, more intimate gathering.
The Club Lounge is situated on the 9th floor. Guests who opt to choose a Club Room or Premier Room have an exclusive privilege and access to the Club Lounge where cocktails and refreshments are served.
The Club Lounge also has a mini library and an iMac station.
Did I mention it also has an amazing view of the lake? 🙂
Afternoon tea and cocktails from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Cocktails are served from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Club Lounge.
Pre-dinner cocktails at the Club Lounge while the lil’ GJGs ate some pica-pica.
It took us a while to settle down as our Premier room wasn’t ready yet when we checked in. So we stayed in the adjacent Deluxe Room which was assigned to our kids.
Here’s our Deluxe room with two twin beds. This room is good for two adults and two kids. It comes with two breakfasts and children 6 years old and below are free for breakfast.
Deluxe Rooms are 30 sqm in size and equipped with a king or twin beds, alarm clock, voice mail and radio, coffee and tea making facilities, in-room dining, mini-bar and in-room safe.
Our rooms were equipped with a charge kit. A singe cable with multiple connector which lets the guest charge almost any gadget/device. May it be Apple, Android, tablet or phone. Ay lavett!
The lil’ GJGs helping themselves to some TV time while waiting to invade our room.
After about an hour, our Premier room was ready. Aaaah I just want plop myself on the bed to slumber.
The Premier Rooms are more spacious at 37 sqm. It has couch and a kitchenette.
Amazed at how beautiful their surroundings were, the lil’ GJGs couldn’t help but prop themselves in front of the window. I don’t blame them as this was the view that greeted them.
Definitely a room with a view.
The Kitchenette has a microwave and offers a tea and coffee station.
The bathroom has a bathtub where a shower is also installed.
Each room at Seda Nuvali includes:

Shortly after we settled in, the kids immediately asked their dad to swim. I, on the other hand had work to finish so I off I went to the Club Lounge to finish some last minute work.
Our dinner at Misto featured the Christmas buffet offerings of Seda Nuvali.
The Sweet Ham & Creamy Vegetable were my favorite.
After dinner the kids were knocked out from swimming. Deep slumber as expected when we do staycations and I’m glad my kids were well rested as they woke up eager to have breakfast so they can swim again after.
I, as usual was excited for the buffet breakfast.
The pastries, Champorado, Arroz Caldo and Adobo were my pick for breakfast. I was so full that we had lunch a little after one o’clock in the afternoon.
Blogger friends Rowena of Animetric, Michelle of Mrs. Martinez, Tina of The Phenomenal Mama, Neva of Manila Mommy with son David and I with lil’ Ms. GJG were all smiles after such a hearty and filling breakfast.
More swimming for the lil’ GJGs. Despite the cool wind and water, my water babies kept swimming.
While the kids were swimming, I was wandering around Seda appreciating the resort-like feel of the place. I bumped into travel blogger Paula Fernandez of Paula The Explorer who was also checked-in that weekend. I was harnessing Paula’s travel juju as I really want to travels this year.
As I went back to the pool area, I found lil’ Mr. GJG done swimming and just lounging like a boss. Too kyoooot!
Our late lunch at Misto was all about Japanese. California Maki, Tuna Pesto Roll, Chicken Teriyaki, Pork Tonkatsu, Tempura and Leche Flan filled our tummies and we were set until dinner. Lil’ Ms. GJG’s favorite tempura was gone in 60 seconds!
A few of the things you can do while you’re in Nuvali includes boat riding, biking and fish feeding. As much as we wanted to do all three, we were pressed for time to go back to Manila, so we opted to feed the fish instead.
Medyo OA the fishes. Look at how competitive they were. They were piling on top of each other trying to outwit one another from some fish food. It was such a treat to feed the fishes bilang bet nila to eat and eat and eat some more!
If only I we have a bigger bag of fish pellets, we would’ve stayed much longer.
Seda Nuvali is slowly becoming a destination hotel for those who wander as it has become an alternative to Tagaytay. It’s a great place for families, friends and even for someone who want to take a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thank you so much Seda Nuvali for the relaxing and fun weekend. We’re definitely coming back to treat ourselves to some nature and nurture.
