There’s this store that’s full of simple things reinvited to provide a quirky appearance without compromising their functionality. It’s a wasteland of all things pretty, this Pylones store.
It is a place where I don’t mind getting lost in. The brand originated from Paris, now with a few stores here in Manila. Gabbie and I, together with the other SoMoms visited Pylones Glorietta 5 store and got to know their latest offering perfect for back-to-school, the Pylones Happy Packs.
Our OOTD, monotone with a hint of neon. Medyo matchy-matchy 🙂
An orange Pylones sign on a dull blue-green shop front. An honest and bright colour on a hesitant, even indecisive background; this is just like what our objects strive to be, boldly settled, with their shapes and colours, in environments that are always indeterminate and constantly renewed.
Inside the shops are ligns, stripes of color, that allow our objects to sit nicely in a row, perfectly straight, good as gold, which honestly isn’t an easy job for them.
Immediately, upon arriving at the Pylones store, I took the liberty to go around and take photos before the intimate event started.
Warning: the following photos are of things that are not too quirky and pretty, you will definitely want to own at least one.
Pylones has a wide variety of products. Ranging from kitchen, bath, living, and even for personal use.
Oyster And Shell Knife Php 798.
Pylones also has toys such as these maracas and tambourine.
Amandine, who came all the way from Paris to meet us, talked about all things Pylones!
Pylones was established in Paris in 1985 and is still 100% owned by the founder family, Mr. Jacques Guillemet as President. Pylones Group has its own manufacturing facilities in France & China. Their HQ is located in a 5000 sqm building in Paris and they have about 700 employees around the world.
According to Amandine, Pylones took its objects and concept out for a ride around the world. Its creative, optimistic and graphic collections are inspired from our environment and the story of humanity, the sensitive language of these objects is actually universal. Plyones is a joyful version of globalization.
Can you guess what product these are?
They’re actually rubber bracelets. These quirky animal bracelets are one of the pioneer products of Pylones back in 1985.
When Pylones started manufacturing products made of metal, one of their first products was this fish pen.
After the brief introduction of Amandine, the Pylones staff here in Manille, Ina and Manu, talked about Pylones’ latest offering which is the Happy Pack.
Pylones allows your budding learner to express themselves where education is concerned. From worm-like erasers that wiggle away mistakes to floral desk lamps that make study time a walk in the park. Give your little one some one-of-a-kind supplies from Pylones.
Check out the latex drums. These are old one from the Pylones workshops brought back to life with a brand new coat of color.
Pylones assembled a variety of back-to-school bundles to suit your child’s personality. Let them stand out in the schoolyard with everything from offbeat pens to notebooks that break the rules. Now pack that pack and get them back on the school track!
A budding artists needs a happy pack to get creative with! Pack your lil’ Picasso with Fashion Girl pens that come with their own muse, Nathan Small scissors for a cute way to cut things up, crafty punters to bind their works together, and a graphic A5 pouch to store and zip them up in.
Equip your mini-MacGyver with the proper gear to take on another school year. Whether in class or on a campsite, keep him cool with an eye-catching thermos. Another bright idea is an LED light for when he needs to search through his packed bag or tell ghost stories by the fire. And when bad weather strikes, one of Pylones’ umbrellas will make for a fun character to keep him company.
Get your schoolgirl giddy for class with pack fit for a lady! A bee pen with post-it petals makes sure must-dos for school don’t flutter away, nor does her hair with one of Pylones’ Papiclips. While NBL Akademic notebooks with elastic closure keep her notes bound in a beautiful design, her pens get an equally pretty home through a selection of cutesy cases.
Pylones perks up your whiz’s workstation with crazy-cool laptop sleeves and a mouse and pad that are a match made in tech heaven. A Touch Stylus pen comes in handy for the geek who sees the virtual as a reality, or who always needs the World (Wide Web) at their fingertips.

To determine which Happy Pack is perfect for my lil’ Ms GJG, we
Good thing I was with lil’ Ms. GJG so I asked her some of the questions to get valid answers.
After tallying her answers, the result is…
Happy Pack Artsy won over a measly point from Girly Girl!
