La Mode Moderne Pour Les Femmes or simply MMF means modern fashion for women. This shoe and accessories store is the baby of Chauntia Chan who is a shoe aficionado herself. Her love for shoes and travel are translated well with her shoe store which was inspired from the four popular fashion capitals in the world- Los Angeles, Milan, New York and Paris.
So when I received an invite for a shoe buffet hosted by MMF, I was quite excited as it was my first time to experience it. What’s a shoe buffet you ask? It’s basically a buffet, but instead of food, you get shoes! Shoes!!! OMG.

John Lozano, celebrity stylist who helped organize the event welcomed his co-stylist, celebrities and bloggers.
After the mini-fashion show that showcased MMF shoes, we were directed to the opposite room to start our shoe buffet. Literally there were shoes everywhere and you can get as many as you want! NKKLK. Have I not been in a blah mood (blaming it to the red days), I would’ve conquered and have gotten all the styles in my size. Sadly, I wasn’t able to take photos as the room was filled with people who want to get their hands on the shoes they’re eyeing. Even celebrities went gaga picking out shoes.
What is kagulo? The space wasn’t that big so whipping out your phone while trying your best to get the shoes that you want isn’t exactly a good combination. See me? I’m right there! Heehee.

Here’s the thing. I gave my “order” to one of the girls who were there to assist the guests. I was quick because I already have my favourites from the bunch. While waiting, I see those who were after me already got theirs, and since I was going to be picked up by Mr. GJG, I did a follow up of my order. Sadly, my order never came through. The girl who assisted me was too caught up listing everyone’s order that my list just simply didn’t get through. Either way, I was determined to get something instead of going home with nothing & since my ride was already waiting for me, I just asked one of the kind staff whom I happen to know, if he could just get me any shoes that’s in my size.

This was one of the pairs that I got. Thankfully, it was in my size and I grabbed it while waiting for my supposed order to arrive. I have to say, this was one of the most unique events I’ve ever been to. It was quick, no-nonsense yet fun. I wish more events would be like this, so thank you MMF for having me.
