The third and final installment of our Tagaytay trip where we stayed at Wilson’s Place and toured Yoki’s Farm. This time around, I’ll let you in on what to expect when you stay or do a day trip at Balay Indang in Cavite.
Balay Indang is formerly known as Red Ginger Farm. Balay means house & Indang is the town in Cavite where this 5 hectare bed and breakfast retreat house is. It has about 28 rooms with swimming pool, function halls and the main house which serves as the main dining hall. Among these facilities, they also have pocket gardens in almost every corner which gives you a chance to reconnect with yourself and with nature. It’s the perfect retreat place whether you’re alone or with a company. Come join the GJGs as we toured Balay Indang.

Balay Indang houses antique furnitures that I assume Uncle Wilson/Yoki also collected. The mix of Asian decor gives a vintage charm to it.

The veranda of the dinning hall is also a good place to have your breakfast or dinner. But since it was summer and I have two ultra-sweaty kids, they placed us inside instead.
Like the food at Wilson’s Place, the menu is already pre-selected. Unless you have food allergies or special request, better to inform them a week before when you have you reservation just so they can prepare it for you. I don’t really know the name of each dish since I was too overwhelmed and quite frankly really hungry that i just took the photos and ate my way through the comforting food.

My top three favorite dishes were the ribs, (tender, fall off the bone goodness) salted egg pasta and the wasabi tuna. I’ll come back for these dishes!
The library was converted into a living space since the weekend we went, Balay Indang was fully booked. So much so that they had converted the library for guests to sleep in.
The rustic feel of the place reminds me of the time of our grandparents. Di ba? Back when life was simple.
The shower in each room at Balay Indang is very much close to nature with the white rocks that filled the shower area.
There’s a pool table too!
During our visit, the Elizabeth Hall was being prepped for a wedding reception. I think about 200-300 people can fit in this function hall.

You can call them for your food preferences. Talk to Marge. They are very accommodating. I don’t eat meat and told them so and that prepared dishes that were meatless for me. 🙂

Hi Ms Jackie. A big change had happened from May to November 2016 at Balay Indang’s food & venue when my family & foreign guests, a newly wed from Scotland, had our lunch last November 18, 2016. We were expecting the same well presented, delicious looking meal & neatly set dining as seen from your blog BUT we’re disappointed! The food served to us were not hot, THEY WERE COLD! We arrived past the agreed time but this should not be a good reason to serve us with COLD MEAL! Grabeee! Galing pa kami ng Makati tapos ganitong klase ng pagkain ang hinain sa amin!!!! Didn’t mind presenting our discontentment with the staff as we do not want to spoil our day with our guests. We did not have a second serving! No need! Dami nga naming natira e! We’re robbed of a good tasting meal in a beautiful dining setting! So, frustrating! NOT WORTH RECOMMENDING! What I can recommend is: DO NOT BELIEVE ALL BLOGS THAT PRESENTS GOOD REPORT! I’m saying these as it was really frustrating!!!

So sorry to hear your experience. 🙁 You can’t recommend though not to believe all those who have posted a good experience because yours could be an isolated case. Have you contacted the manager on duty to raise your concern so they could’ve done something about it?
