I couldn’t stress enough how much I love online shopping. It has become a habit, a therapy – something I look forward to, whether to de-stress, reward myself or just browse for things I don’t just want but really need.
This year marks my 10th year as an online shopper and sometimes seller too, and the decade has proven (OMG, I can’t believe it’s been a decade already since I started retail therapy in the world wide web!) how much it has changed.
I remember the times where I had to wait for a day or two before the seller could get back to me regarding my query. Or how there was no assurance if my package will arrive on the specific date it was promised or if it was even shipped in the first place. Things like these are the main concerns of shoppers and believe me when I say, I’ve had my fair share of mishaps when it comes to online shopping. These reasons are why there are still people who are afraid to try online shopping. But what if I told you there’s a new marketplace that’s safe and easy to shop and sell at?
Meet my latest online shopping discovery – Shopee.
Shopee is bringing the mobile shopping revolution to the Philippines (finally!). It’s an online platform where users can buy and sell at no extra cost. It’s a safe and easy-to-use mobile marketplace where registered users can shop and sell hassle-free.
Anyone can be a seller on Shopee. From pre-loved items to brand new stocks, users can quickly set up a shop by signing up for an account, snapping a photo of their product(s) and uploading it, then setting the price and shipping fee. For sellers who have an existing online shop on social media, they can benefit from the Instagram Import feature to import photos of their collections.
Shopee connects thousands of buyers and sellers to each other. It answers the many issues online buyers and sellers are faced with today like unresponsive buyers/sellers, unpaid items, and simply unreliable listings that results in unsuccessful deals. Plus, Shopee is completely FREE! There are no registration fees nor commission fees that Shopee charges.
Immediately, I downloaded the app at Play Store and signed up.
There’s an option to sign up using your email or Facebook account. And since I want things done easily (so I can shop already!), I decided to go for the latter. Setting up my account was easy peasy. I used my Facebook to link to my Shopee account, all I needed to do was verify my account via email and I’m ready to shop and sell. Wait, did I mention signing up is FREE?! Yes!
Wohoo! I am now officially on Shopee! I’ve started browsing a few days ago and I’ve pretty much hit the heart button, one too many times. Now My Likes are filled with items I’ve bookmarked and have planned to buy in the not-so-distant-future (perhaps, next week? Heehee).
There’s basically three reasons why you should shop and sell at Shopee:
1. It’s a mobile app; you can take buying and selling everywhere you go.
2. Signing up is FREE and setting up an account is easy.
3. You’re covered with Shopee Guarantee. Receive your order or get your money back.
I could give you a handful more reasons but I’ll save that for my next post (as I’ll be sharing my Shopee experience and let you in on how it works), because currently, I’m having fun browsing through hundreds of listings and even plan on uploading some items from my closet.
These are some of the things I’m about to sell at #ShopeePH. Now that I’ve signed up, it’s a matter of posting each one of these on my Shopee account.
