A Sweet Escape With FitFlop SS ’15 Collection

I’ve never traveled alone nor have I been away from my children for more than 24 hours. So when Fitflop invited me on a three-day sweet escape, I didn’t confirm immediately. I had to consult Mr. GJG about it and coordinate with him about the schedule of the lil’ GJGs and prepare what they need for the three days that I’ll be away. Very motherly lang ang peg. So I was pretty surprised when Mr. GJG supported me on this adventure, he figured it was a good way for me to have some “me time” while doing what I love doing. So off I went to Bohol, particularly in the beautiful island of Panglao. It was the perfect place to launch FitFlop Spring/Summer 2015 collection as the brand aspires to channel the spirit of its collection into the whole vibe of the event, nothing less of a luxurious was ensured for us, their guests.

Amorita Resort is a beautiful place in Alona beach in Panglao, Bohol. It served as the perfect backdrop for FitFlop’s latest collection which are all about comfort, chicness, luxury, empowerment, and style. FitFlop flew a handful of local and regional (Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei) media to Bohol to experience La Dolce Vita (the sweet life) as the brand showed us their Spring Summer 2015 collection in style.

 I was greeted with a pair of Fitflop and other summer essentials upon entering my room. It was such a beautiful private space. My villa and more about Amorita Resort deserve a separate post.

After lunch, we had ample time to settle in and get ready for the first launch which is all about the Indigo Collection. I’ll talk about each style at the end of this post. For now, enjoy the beauty of the shoes and the scenic background that comes with it. 😉

 Jill Coglan, FitFlop Global Sourcing and Product Development Director welcomed the guest to FitFlop Spring Summer 2015 launch. She encouraged everyone, most especially women to be not afraid anymore when it comes to being stylish. In this day and age, one need not to wear heels to be chic. FitFlop understands what consumers like and what they don’t and this inspired them to develop new design which is what the SS ’15 collection is about.

This summer, channel the elegantly stylish spirit of the French Riviera, like the photographed women along the shores of Cote d’Azur. While away the days of spring in elegant silhouettes and punchy yet subdued hues of the FitFlop Spring Summer 2015 collection.

After our afternoon free time, we got ready for dinner which revealed the Lustre collection.

The Lustre collection is all about having a hint of sparkle to your feet. These FitFlops can instantly spruce up your outfit effortlessly.

We turned in early during our first day on the island because our second day was filled with fun activities.

Breakfast buffet at Saffron Restaurant. I love the food at Amorita! Everything has a Bohol touch.

So the activity of the day was treasure hunt! Yeeeees, feeling Indiana Jones lang kami. Heehee. The competitive side of me was mapping out strategies on how my group and I can advance against the other teams. There were six treasure boxes we have to locate and each member of the team gets a clue which will serve as the key for each treasure box. The first team to locate all the treasure box and take a photo of the contents of each box wins!

The first treasure box was a giveaway, since each team is made of five members only. After the revelation of the first box & the go signal, our team quickly huddled and went our separate ways to locate each treasure box.

My clue says “Take a break and seek for shelter. Underneath is what you seek after.” So I wandered around Amorita looking for my treasure box station within the garden and eventually found it.

I snapped a photo and hurriedly went back to our meeting place to wait for my team mates. A few minutes after and we’re complete & done! In short, our competitive team won! Hihihihi. 😀

After the treasure hunt activity, the last collection was showcased.

Jill presented the rest of FitFlop’s SS ’15 Collection. I love the versatility the brand has- from bold and bright  to understated and muted. I believe FitFlop’s SS ’15 collection has a pair for every woman and man who likes the infusion of comfort & style.

The beauty of nature. Met this cute little starfish while we were treasure hunting. Yes! Our team mate Angelo even managed to spot this kyoooot lil’ creature while still being competitive. 😉

It was possible for my team mates & I to run around whether it’s a rocky path or by the beach with our FitFlop Superjelly pair. I love my Raspberry pair, it instantly brightened up my outfit.

After our treasure hunt activity, we went on a tour around Bohol. Our agenda: to see the Chocoolate Hills & the Tarsiers.

The Chocolate Hills is about an hour and a half away from Amorita. A 200-step climb to the viewing deck is what you must endure to appreciate and see this lovely creation. The trek up the deck was worth it. Look at how beautiful it is!

The Tarsier Conservation Area was a few minutes away from Amorita. Again, you need to climb a few steps up to see these little cuties. And again, it was worth it. 🙂

The last day of our sweet escape was nothing short of luxury & beauty. I woke up early to eat breakfast and to enjoy paradise.

The Alona beach reminds me of Boracay. Fine, cool sand matched the crystal clear blue water. Less commercialism and more nature, just the way I like it.
