I will always be a kid at heart and I will always love all things cute and cartoony. Luckily, I got an invite to all things cartoony. Hooraaaay! I witnessed the launching of SM Toon Fest introducing K-Pop style into their latest toon fashion collection as well as their contest K-Pop Rising Star.
Cutie centerpiece that features the characters that are available in SM Department stores. Our table was decorated with all things Cars. And yes, the bouquet of fruits & sweets is edible too!
Delicious food thanks to Makati Shangri-La.
Issa Litton hosted the event.
“Kids today are a lot more conscious of what’s ‘in’ and get fashion ideas from their idols”, states Ms. Jo Dy Juanco, VP for Children’s Fashion. “These days, they draw inspiration from K-Pop stars and want to dress just like them.”
Adorable standees of the K-Pop Toon Fest models.
A fashion show followed after featuring the latest from the Toon Fest collection from SM Department stores which were worn in a very K-Pop manner. Brands and characters are: Mickey Mouse, Barbie, Tinkerbell, Disney Princesses, Garfield, Robby Rabbit, Sesame Street, Dora The Explorer, Snoopy, Winnie The Pooh, Betty Boop, Minnie Mouse, Cars, Spiderman and Hello Kitty. Note that prices of the clothes are affordable and ranges from P299 to P999, definitely within the budget of moms like me! Warning: Cuteness overload!
Aren’t the model kids and clothes adorbs? I now have tons of ideas on how to dress Gabbie and I’m very much excited to unleash the inner K-Pop in her, after all she looks like one don’t you think? 🙂
Of course golf course the adults should have photos too.

By the way highway, here’s a few K-Pop terms you might find useful. Okay, enough with the rhyming baka sabihin nyo corny ako. Heehee.
To showcase the new collections, SM Toon Fest is holding a search for its K-Pop Rising Sta. The song, dance and lip-synch competition invites boys, girls and groups aged 2-14 to let their inner superstars out for a shot at the spotlight and the Php100,000 grand prize! How cool is that? Now I’m thinking of letting Gabbie join but then again, she tends to get shy with strangers.

AJA! What are you waiting for? Go join na!
Thanks SM & ARC for the invite, another lovely and successful event.
