Confession: I find it very difficult to do nothing.
Maybe its because I’m so used to having a lot on my plate– homemaking, mothering, content creating–that not doing anything stresses me more. This is the part of my lifestyle that I need improvement on–the art of doing nothing. Don’t take it the wrong way, I do get to rest and enjoy some me time– working out, (yes this is my me time) read a book, watch a TV show, outdoor time with my kids– but the only time I can literally sit and do nothing is when I’m at the beach.
THE ART OF DOING NOTHING
Learning the art of doing nothing is a challenge I’ve willing accepted. So I’m giving myself at least five minutes a day to just sit down and do nothing.
While it’s easy to sit down and tinker with your phone, it’s not actually considered doing nothing. 😆 I admit it was challenging to do this because I honestly cannot remember the last time I intentionally did this. After a few minutes, I find myself comfortably seated doing absolutely nothing.
LOUNGE WEAR MAKES A DIFFERENCE
I’m rarely in lounge wear because I’m mostly in activewear but wow what difference does it make to change into something more breathable like this set from Love Bonito. I noticed I’m more relaxed and at ease, letting me be more comfortable while doing nothing.
I was actually able to enjoy my cup of tea while its still hot. Such simple thing I get to enjoy only when I slow down and well do nothing.
STOP AND SLOW DOWN
While hustling and grinding has become a norm in our culture, it’s also important to stop and slow down–underrated actions that have just as much impact as their former to one’s overall wellness.
It’s been two weeks since I first wore this Love Bonito loungewear set and its been on heavy rotation! The matching slippers have become a daily staple as its padded perfectly, now I want it in dark blue too!
