This is the last installment for our Singapore trip. Remember I told you all that we encountered a few setbacks during our trip? Well the final setback happened during our last day in Singapore. First off, our flight was delayed due to the fog that clouded over Manila which lead to zero visibility, I think it’s because of the fireworks since it was the first day of the year. But what’s worse is that we missed our flight. Our one o’clock in the afternoon flight turned out to be a one o’clock in the morning flight! Why oh why didn’t I nor my husband double checked it? *super sad face* Since we were no show for our delayed flight, we had to book for another one. *good money wasted, sad* There’s no luck with Cebu Pacific and PAL (Philippine Airlines) because their next flight were scheduled on January 2. So we ended up booking for SEAir instead. Another problem is the flight lands to Clark, Pampanga instead of NAIA in Manila. Another dilemma on how we’re gonna get home from Clark when our flight arrives at eleven thirty in the evening. Good thing, our brother saved us and managed to drive all the way to Pampanga to pick us up *hooray*
P.S. (although technically it’s not the end of the post just yet) Some airlines like SEAir don’t accept credit card. Well they accept a certain amount but not all. So please bring along your cash advance PIN with you when you travel. That is another lesson we learned during our trip. Also, it pays to bring your ATM along with you (yes, we didn’t bring our ATM with us too) you’ll never know what kind of emergency you’ll have to face on your trip so better be prepared for the worse.

Both foreign and local passengers were waiting in vain. Not good at all.
What’s irritating is that the staff of Clark airport should be more prepared, they know a flight was about to land so why slack off when they know there will be tons of passengers that’ll go through immigration?! It has never been efficient in the airports here in the Philippines. Sad to say but compared to other countries, our service really do suck when it comes to efficiency and discipline. Seriously, somebody do something!
So near yet so far.
When the Filipino passport holders looked very impatient and started asking the guards as to why there’s only one immigration officer, after thirty minutes another immigration officer decided to show up with a someone-disturbed-me-from-whatever-unimportant-thing-I’m-doing-kind of look. It was irritating even more for us who were impatiently waiting for almost an hour just to get pass by immigration. Come on! Service sucks as bad as reviews of our airports from different travel sites, so instead of proving they’re right go be proactive and do something about it. *shout out to everyone who works at all our (Philippine) airports*
