DIY Wall Decals

Wall decals is by far one of the easiest and affordable way to decorate/ accessorize a room. I at some point went gaga over finding the right wall decal design for our new place. There are hundreds of designs to choose from ranging from a kiddie theme to even a modern minimalist. So after months of surfing the net trying to find the right wall decal design,  so happy to say that we’ve found the one!

Our chosen design at P500+ (around $12)

instruction sheet included
what’s inside
1st step: cut out your decal so that it’s easier to stick it on the wall.
2nd step: clean the wall where you plan to put your decal

Make sure there’s no lint, dirt or anything that can hinder the decal from sticking. Wipe the wall with soap and water or whatever cleaning solution you prefer. We decided to put the wall decal on Gabbie’s room instead of the living room. Her room is painted with turquoise so our choice of white and gray schemed decal seemed appropriate. I had my husband do the sticking while I took pictures, I was his extra set of hands just in case he needed a pair.

step 3: peel first the white sheet (back part) and start sticking

What we did is we tried to layout the whole design on the wall, it’s a good way of picturing what goes where and how the overall design would look. So we decided the first one to stick should be the base.

Once you’re satisfied with the position,, you can peel the transparent cover.

The second half of the stem, so easy to align and stick it on the wall.

Flatten sticker using a cardboard to make sure that all sides are transferred on the wall.

Now putting the branches.

Use both hands if necessary so that the sticker won't fold.

Gotta make sure each circle sticks

Finalizing the last sticker, and my hands were needed after all!

Almost done...

Viola! The finished product

We were just shocked to see how small it looked compared to the illustration included in the kit but overall, we liked it. I like how it has accented the wall, moreover the entire room.

Thanks to Color and Life for the wonderful wall decal. Check their stores at SM North Edsa and SM Megamall for quirky decors and cute kids’ furnitures.
